Privacy at ChessTime

Effective date: 1 September 2026

Overview

Mindyodha operates the ChessTime Android application. This policy explains what information may be processed when you use ChessTime, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

ChessTime does not require you to create an account or public profile.

Information processed

Online multiplayer

When you use online multiplayer, ChessTime processes the room or game code, chess moves, board and game state, session or connection information, and technical network data needed to create and maintain the game. This information is transmitted through our backend service, Supabase.

Advertising and app diagnostics

ChessTime uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google and its partners may automatically process information such as device or advertising identifiers, IP address, general device information, ad interactions, and diagnostic data. This may be used to deliver, measure, limit, and protect advertisements, subject to your device settings, consent choices, and applicable law.

Data stored on your device

Game settings, preferences, and saved board positions may be stored locally on your device so that app features work as expected. You can remove this local information by clearing the app's data or uninstalling ChessTime.

Information we do not intentionally collect

ChessTime does not intentionally collect your name, precise location, contacts, photos, videos, audio recordings, health information, SMS messages, call history, documents, or biometric information.

How information is used

  • To provide online games and synchronize moves.
  • To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve ChessTime.
  • To display and measure advertisements.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse, and technical failures.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

Service providers

ChessTime relies on third-party services that may process data under their own privacy terms:

We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention and security

Online game and technical information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, resolve technical issues, and meet legal requirements. We use reasonable safeguards, but no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children's privacy

ChessTime is not designed to request personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

Your choices and requests

You can reset the advertising identifier or adjust advertising and privacy controls in your Android or Google settings. You may also clear locally stored app data or uninstall ChessTime. For privacy questions, access or deletion requests, contact us at the address below. We may need enough information to identify the relevant online session or record.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when ChessTime's features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will show the latest revision.
